    Gamma Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Wichita, Kansas honored their Cultured Pearls and also presented Outstanding Service Awards on Saturday, October 9, 2010.  With 50+ years of dedication, service and sisterly love these ladies have dedicated their life to the growth and development of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.  Basileus Leah George, Anti-Basileus Genesia Rucker and Anti-Basileus / International Legal Advisor Karyn Thomas presented the awards. 

     

    Gamma Chi Sigma is blessed and honored to have charter members Lorraine King, Doris Smith, Warlene Reed, Clester Woods and Mary Adams as active chapter participants whom have faithfully delivered top quality sisterly and community service for many years.  Mary Adams also chartered the undergraduate chapter at Langston University. 

     

    Cultured Pearls of Gamma Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter are Clester Woods and Mary Adams.  An Outstanding Award was given to Life Members Zeola Johnson and Clydean Roberson.

    Karyn Thomas, Esq. received the most distinctive and second highest award in Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and was inducted as the youngest member into the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Hall of Fame for outstanding leadership, dedication and continuous service during the 53rd Biennial Boule in Indian Wells, California on July 14, 2010.

     

    Karyn is a distinguished member of Gamma Chi Sigma Chapter in Wichita, Kansas.  The Chapter is privileged to have Karyn serve both regionally and internationally as the 2nd Anti-Basileus and International Legal Advisor.

     

    Karyn has been a very active and invaluable member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority for several years.  Karyn is a General Practice Attorney at her law firm Harrison & Thomas in Dallas, Texas.  Karyn received her undergraduate Degree from Texas Women’s University, PhD in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University and her JD from Washburn University.

     

    Karyn has a dynamic personality and always displays the uttermost professionalism in every aspect of her life.  Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is very pleased with the quality of service and dedication she continues to display.
